David Farmer has been with Fortna since 1996. Fortna helps companies with complex distribution operations to help each meet their customer promises and solve competitive challenges profitable. Fortna is a professional services firm built on a singular promise ….. To develop a solid business case during supply chain integration and hold teams accountable to the results.
David‘s responsibilities include leading North American sales teams to support client’s with complex supply chain solutions. His role is to better focus on client business needs, operating cost, working capital, service improvements. He is often called on to have a view in supporting client business strategy and growth. This "lens" that his entire team must look through is the impact of "system, process, asset and labor" on a distribution center’s operations.
David holds an MBA from Boston University and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Tennessee Technological University. David is a member of Warehouse Education Research Council (WERC) and Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP).
David began his career serving in the United States Army Europe. Prior to joining Fortna, he held leadership roles at an integration firm and at a highly automated direct-to-consumer distribution center.
David is a member of The People’s Church in Franklin and Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) in Nashville. He serves as a board member of Community Outreach Ministries (COM) in Williamson County.
David and his wife, Tracy, have two sons and a daughter-in-law. Chandler and Meg Farmer live in Nashville. Chandler is an attorney and Meg is a teacher. Blake lives in Franklin and is utilizing his recent degree in Sports Management within professional sports.
