B.A.D.G.E - Bringing Assistance to Deputies who Give Everything is a ministry established for the Williamson Country Sheriff's Office to assist deputies and their families with financial support in times of need. Hardships may include mortgage and rent payments, childcare, health care, a family crisis or other unforeseen emergencies. As county officials who have dedicated their lives to protect and support our community, and who are often underpaid for their services and dedication, we feel our support is sometimes all they have to reach out to.
You can make a difference in the lives of these brave men and women by making a contribution to BADGE. All funds are generously donated by citizens and organizations in our community and are tax deductible. 100% of the proceeds go to support the Williamson Country Sheriff's Office.
Training and oversight of jail ministries – COM helps train over 300 volunteers every year who visit, provide spiritual counsel, conduct classes and worship services, and minister in other ways to the inmates. COM helps train, provide credentials and oversee all ministries that go on in the jail.
A.F.F.I.R.M - Volunteers with COM operate A Friends and Family of Inmates Resource Ministry every week. These volunteers spend time on Saturdays ministering to the families of inmates as they wait, often for long periods of time, to visit their loved ones behind bars. Our volunteers offer drinks and snacks, coloring books for kids, lots of love and compassion, and connect these families with much needed resources to meet their various needs.
In addition to these efforts, COM is called upon regularly to minister in various situations throughout the community due to our reputation for love, compassion and the ability to minister to broken and wounded people.
