W.C.S.O
Ministering to Law Enforcement

Law enforcement officers have an extremely stressful job, one which results in unusually high divorce, suicide, spousal abuse and illness rates.

Community Outreach Ministries (COM) has been given an open door to minister to the needs of 250 Williamson County Sheriff’s Office (W.C.S.O.) employees and their families. We believe that God has something to offer these servants of our community.

COM provides W.C.S.O. with:

  • pastoral counseling.
  • specialized training in a variety of areas.
  • daily moral support.
  • on call response and support during critical incidents.
  • oversight of all ministry done in the WCSO jail including:
    • certification of over 140 ministers per year.
    • screening of people desirous of ministering in the jail.
    • scheduling of all services and individual ministry done in the jail.
  • delivery of death notifications.

Chaplain Services

While the stresses of law enforcement cannot be eliminated they can be recognized and reduced through an effective Chaplain’s program.

Corky French serves as the W.C.S.O.'s volunteer chaplain. In his role Corky provides countless services to the employees and their families including:

  • pastoral counseling to the over 250 WCSO employees and their families – topics have included:
"The call for Jesus' disciples is plain. We are a people to be marked by our love and by our service to those around us. Consider these passages"
Matthew 28:19
